The photo merchandise market has been around for years now, but there is still a large percentage of consumers who have either never purchased a photo product or have just recently bought for the first time. Rise Above Research has found that first-time buyers tend to have some different buying habits and behaviors from repeat buyers, which may require focused marketing efforts from photo product vendors to make them regular customers who come back and buy again.
First-time buyers tend to buy photo merchandise products more often for different occasions than repeat buyers. They also are more likely to buy from some of the newer or less well-known vendors that sell in this market versus repeat buyers. It is a very encouraging sign that most first-time buyers plan to buy again and spend more on their next purchase, but vendors should not take this for granted.
This report takes a more in-depth look at first-time buyers of photo merchandise and their buying habits and behaviors compared to repeat buyers.
