(October 2025) Buyers of photo products vary in their buying frequency. Many of them buy just one product a year, but others purchased multiple products. This report takes a closer look at those who purchased one product in the last year versus those who purchased multiple products, comparing the two groups of buyers by age, gender, income levels and photographer type.

(August 2025) The 2025 US Photo Print Forecast: 2024-2029 is a five-year forecast for photo prints. The forecast is broken out by home printing, online printing and retail store printing for volume and revenue. The report features a summary of market drivers and barriers, as well as forecast methodology and key recommendations. PowerPoint summary charts and Excel file are also provided.

(July 2025) Most US consumers still own a home printer and they are used for a wide range of applications, from printing photos and documents to school work and coupons. The versatility of the all-in-one units in particular has made them a necessity in many households, and our research shows that a sizable percentage of consumers are also planning to buy a new printer within the next year.

(June 2025) Photo books are one of the most popular photo merchandise products among US consumers, but can be time consuming and difficult to create and order. This report takes a closer look at photo book buying barriers over the last three years of US Photo Merchandise Surveys. It also highlights the reasons why a photo book project was stopped, and non-buyers were asked what would make them more interested in buying photo books.

(May 2025) The 2025 US Photo Printing Study provides the results of an extensive online survey of 1,289 US consumers that focuses on printing habits and behaviors for traditional photo prints. The study provides an in-depth analysis of retail, online, and home printing methods, as well as use and attitudes toward AI. Non-printers were also asked about why they choose not to print and what could be done to make prints more attractive.

(April 2025) The photo merchandise market in the US is a mature market , but will still bring in steady business over the next few years. According to Rise Above Research’s new 2025 US Photo Merchandise Forecast, sales of cards, books, calendars, and wall/tabletop décor are expected to generate $2.9 billion in 2024 and increase to just under $3.2 billion by 2029.
