(January 2023) Rise Above Research expects that the number of photos taken and stored will increase in 2023 and continue to rise through 2027, with smartphones accounting for the vast majority of those photos.  Despite inflation, higher gas prices and a volatile economy, we expect that many people will be traveling, taking vacations, and holding events this year, and of course they will keep taking photos of everyday happenings. This will lead to a 7.5% increase in photos taken this year to around 1.6 trillion photos worldwide.
